Ez Abde, a winger for Barca, is having a solid season on loan at CA Osasuna of La Liga

The Hercules CF forward, 21, joined Barça in the summer of 2021, and Xavi Hernandez helped him break into the first squad. The Moroccan forward was effective in his few chances at Camp Nou. However, he was forced to depart on loan in order to play frequently due to the summer arrival of Raphinha, Ousmane Dembele’s contract renewal, and Ansu Fati’s return to fitness.

Abde has also had a respectable run with Jagoba Arrasate’s team, earning 19 appearances and contributing two goals and two assists in that time.

The Moroccan international has distinguished himself for his speed, dribbling, and ability to get past defenders even though his statistics aren’t particularly remarkable. According to Toni Juanmarti, it appears that Nottingham Forest of the Premier League has taken note of Abde’s development and is interested in signing him.

The recently promoted Premier League team, who made quite a splash in the previous two transfer windows, appears to already be making plans for the following season and has their eyes set on signing the Barcelona loanee. Abde, however, reportedly wants to remain at Barça for the upcoming campaign. A meeting will be held in June to discuss the child’s destiny and determine the best course of action.

According to reports, the La Liga’s top team is receptive to the idea of including Abde in Xavi’s system. However, Barcelona will not be opposed to a sale if a reasonable offer is made given their financial situation. It will be fascinating to see how Abde performs for Osasuna the rest of the season and whether he is successful in persuading Barcelona to keep him on staff for the upcoming campaign.
