Barcelona striker Pau Victor is expected to finalize a permanent move to Braga, for €3 million (£2.5 million) in add-ons in addition to a €12 million (£10.4 million) fixed price. There are four years left on the 23-year-old forward’s Barcelona deal.

However, Victor’s playing time would be restricted due to his position behind Ferran Torres and Robert Lewandowski in the hierarchy as well as Marcus Rashford’s upcoming arrival. This summer, Victor is expected to become one of the many young players who have departed Barcelona. Ansu Fati joined Monaco on loan, Alex Valle completed a permanent move to Como, and Pablo Torre joined Mallorca.

Rashford has consented to a loan transfer to Flick’s team, but it won’t be easy because of the club’s continuous problems with player registration. The Spanish government upheld Barcelona’s appeal over Victor and Dani Olmo’s registration concerns in April, allowing them to play for the remainder of the season.

The two had previously had their sporting licenses revoked by La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), which are necessary for Spanish players to represent their club or nation.

Barcelona want a buyback clause

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the matter, confirming the previously reported transfer fee and add-on amounts. Furthermore, according to the transfer expert, Barcelona and SC Braga are negotiating a buyback clause for Victor.

Given how highly the attacker is regarded by the team, it is not surprising that the Catalans want to place a buyback option for him. Barcelona wants to include a buyback option so that, should the young player advance during his time at SC Braga, there is a chance for a future return.

According to Nil Sola, Victor’s previous team, Girona, had a future sell-on provision in their contract with Barcelona for his disposal.

According to the deal, Girona would earn 50% of the money Barça would pay for the attacker in 2024; during the current transfer window, that percentage would drop to 30%.

As a result, the Montilivi-based team will get 30% of the nearly €4 million transfer fee that Barcelona receives from Braga in exchange for Victor. Roberto Fernandez, a striker for Braga, will be replaced by Victor. Fernandez, 23, joined Espanyol earlier this month.
