According to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona and RB Leipzig have successfully negotiated an agreement for Barcelona to recruit Dani Olmo. After Barcelona lost out on signing top target Nico Williams, they quickly focused on Olmo, a former La Masia graduate who had been on their radar for a while.

According to earlier reports, Deco, the technical director of Barcelona, travelled to Leipzig to finalise an agreement with Die Roten Bullen for the signing of Olmo. It is now acknowledged that the two clubs have reached a complete understanding and a settlement.

Barcelona agreed to pay €55 million up front, with an additional €7 million in possible add-ons, making the overall deal worth €62 million, according to Romano. This arrangement highlights Leipzig’s strong negotiation position and is in line with the importance of Olmo’s prior release clause.

Dani Olmo to Barcelona is a done deal

Olmo’s relocation to Barcelona represents a major turning point in his professional life. The midfielder, who grew up outside of Barcelona’s academy, had long dreamed of joining the team again. The lack of a clear path to the first team that drove his departure years ago has now been rectified.

Olmo, who has a six-year deal that expires in 2030, will reintegrate into a Barcelona team that has experienced significant change. His long-term goals were demonstrated by his willingness to add a release clause to his previous Leipzig deal. He is now on the verge of realizing his lifelong dream as he gets ready to pull on the Barcelona shirt once more.
