Adama Traore completes a loan move to Barcelona from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Spaniard has returned to his former club Barcelona on loan after being seven years away from Camp Nou.

The Blaugrana also included a clause to make the move permanent and Adama will take a pay cut.

The club’s official statement read: “FC Barcelona and Wolverhampton Wanderers have reached an agreement for the loan of the player Adama Traoré until 30 June 2022. The blaugranes will pay the player’s wages and there is an option to make the deal permanent.

“The presentation of Adama Traoré as a new FC Barcelona player will be on Wednesday 2 February behind closed doors. The club will announce further details shortly.”

In his first interview, Adama expresses his joy to be back at Camp Nou and his desire to bring happiness with his performances.

“I’m so happy to come back here. I think it’s been a long time. So for me it’s a special moment because it’s been many years,” Traore said.

“I grew up here in his town with my family and friends and so i’m very happy and it’s a special moment. After that I would like to give back that happiness on the pitch.”
