Ousmane Dembele’s future remains uncertain at Camp Nou.
Barcelona are still waiting to hear from the forward’s decision of extending his stay with the Catalan giants.
Club director Mateu Alemany has been in contact with Dembele’s camp for months and a contract extension discussion recently broke down between two parties.
The club is running out of patience given Dembele’s contract renewal is key to registering new signing Ferran Torres.
Dembele is out of contract this summer and will be allowed to sign a pre-contract agreement with any interested club in January.
If the Frenchman decides to not renew his contract, Barcelona would like to offload him this January with the fear of not losing him for free.
“It’s not true there will be another meeting,” the director said. “There has been contact with his camp for months. They know the club’s position, that we want him to stay.
“There’s a renewal offer on the table and that’s with them. It can’t be put off for much longer, we’re waiting for a definitive answer.”
