Ousmane Dembele has taken a step forward in his injury recovery.
The French winger has been recuperating from a hamstring problem since February 2020.
He was ruled out for six months and was spotted at Barcelona’s training ground, Ciutat Esportiva, working out as he continues to recover from the torn hamstring injury and closing in on a comeback.
“Ousmane Dembélé is working hard Ciutat Esportiva as he battles to be fit for active duty again. On Tuesday his recovery program included a workout at the Barça training ground” said a Barcelona official.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are looking at Ousmane Dembele as an viable option, should they fail to sign their summer target in Jadon Sancho.
Given the current financial conditions, Solskjaer has looked at Dembele as the cheaper alternative to Jadon Sancho.
Barcelona might let the French international go at half-price of what Sancho is valued at.
The 23-year old struggled for a place in the Barca squad and is highly injury-prone.
This seems like a good news for Barcelona as they can now have funds to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan as they are not interested in player plus cash deals.
It is reported that Dembele might come back and play some part in the upcoming Champions League games.
