Ramos takes 'VAR' dig at Pique and Barcelona

Sergio Ramos has shot across a clear warning to Barcelona.

Real Madrid secure a 3-0 win earlier in the last week against Valencia while Barcelona had stuttered to a screeching 0-0 draw.

It allowed Real Madrid who were 2 point behind to catch up to the Catalans on points in the table. Now Real Madrid are in the lead courtesy of their better head to head against Barcelona this season with only a handful of games to go.

It remains interesting to see which side will hold out their nerve with comments already flying from both sections to play mind games.

Post Real’s 3-0 win over Valencia which saw them go top, Pique hinted that refereeing and VAR decisions tend to go Real’s way in big matches. Regardless of the truth of the matter, it would seem a little harsh since Barcelona’s best player Lionel Messi clearly escaped two red cards in back to back matches.

Ramos has now fired back.

“The referees do not take any predetermined decision in the game and people should stop imagining things,” said the Real Madrid skipper.

Things are heating up at La Liga and now it remains to be seen if Zidane’s men can get one over Barcelona
