Real Sociedad Demand Full €70m Asking Price From Barcelona For Willian Jose

Real Sociedad is not interested in any offer from Barcelona than Willian Jose’s full €70m release clause.

The Blaugrana are targeting reinforcements after coming to terms with Ousmane Dembele’s latest injury setback.

The Frenchman is set to miss about six months of action with a hamstring tear. This is a huge blow to Quique Setien’s forces with Luis Suarez also ruled out for three months. With the Copa del Rey already out of their hands, winning silverware through the La Liga and the Champions League is still very important for the new coach.

“If they put the €70m on the table then fine, there’s nothing left to say,” Sociedad boss, Imanol told reporters in reference to Jose’s release clause. “The whole thing about Willian José is starting to get a bit much. He’s our player and he wants to continue to be our player. I don’t know how long for but as far as I understand it he’ll be with us until the end of the season.”

Alavés’s Lucas Pérez, Real Betis forward Loren and Luis Suárez of Real Zaragoza are also on Barca’s shortlist for the summer. However, they will the need the permission of the Spanish federation to make a signing right now.
