Lewandowski joined Barcelona in 2022 and enjoyed a spectacular first season, winning the Pichichi trophy as La Liga’s top scorer.
But age and a grueling schedule have taken their toll. The club now looks to reduce its wage bill while refreshing the attacking line.
For Lewandowski, the decision comes down to ambition versus sentiment. A move to MLS or Saudi Arabia would bring a massive payday, while staying in Italy offers competitive European football.
