Barcelona will undergo a significant makeover in the next summer as they try to strengthen numerous spots in their starting lineup and jettison players who do not suit the mould that Xavi and company require of their players

There are several players on this list that are currently just on loan, including Clement Lenglet, Francisco Trincao, Samuel Umtiti, Nico Gonzalez, and Sergino Dest. All of these are on the Catalans’ wish list, but Dest perhaps more so than the others. According to a report by Mundo Deportivo, the American defender is almost ready to sign a loan deal with Union Berlin. The loan is conditional on Berling earning a Champions League spot, though.

According to the article, a contract has already been reached between Dest and Berlin regarding a potential transfer, and depending on the requirements, the agreement will become official at the end of the current campaign.

Dest, who is currently on loan at AC Milan, hasn’t lived up to expectations during his brief stay there and plans to return to Barcelona once his loan is done. The right-back does not impress the Italian team, and they have no intention of fulfilling the loan agreement’s permanent clause of €20 million.

Barcelona is aiming to purchase a right-back in the summer and have players like Juan Foyth, Diogo Dalot, and Jeremie Frimpong in mind because the player is expected to return to the team but was sold out right away.

With Alvaro Odriozola being permitted to depart the team, Real Madrid is also interested in those three players for the upcoming summer season. It is too soon to make any decisions for any team, especially with reference to Dest’s transfer, though.
