Sergio Aguero Will Finalise Barcelona Move After CL Final

Sergio Aguero is heading over to Barcelona after the Champions League final.

Fabrizio Romano claimed that a medical is due to be held right after Manchester City’s final game at Porto.

Aguero will see out a wonderful Premier League career of ten years with 5 titles and 258 goals. He now can lead Barca’s frontline, seeing how they desperately need a consistent goalscorer in their ranks.

Barcelona’s problems this past season has been compounded by their frontline dropping their goal contributions. Antoine Griezmann has not matched expectations since his £120m move from Atletico Madrid. Ousmane Dembele is stalling on a new contract and Ansu Fati is set to miss a lot more games with a knee injury.

Aguero will finally be the replacement of Luis Suarez in a traditional number nine role. Perhaps, a part of convincing Lionel Messi to stay is to get his international teammate to Camp Nou.

Aguero is by no means a part of the club’s long-term future. He is 32 now and has had his fair share of injury troubles. Reports suggest that he could finalise the move right before Argentina’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Columbia.
