Sergio Roberto being tapped up by Manchester City

Amidst reports that Barcelona is trying to bring back Pep Guardiola, it is now being reported that they might lose one of their own to Pep’s current team – Manchester City.

The Blues are reportedly tapping up one of Barcelona’s leaders in the dressing room in Sergi Roberto.

Roberto was a product from La Masia and one of the last players to graduate during the days of Pep Guardiola and be inducted into the first team.

He initially started up as a central midfielder and was brilliant in his position before being moved into a makeshift right back post the departure of Dani Alves.

He has since then made the spot his own and done brilliantly well to keep out the likes of Nelson Semedo.

Now, the 28-year-old is being tracked by Pep’s team in England as City are looking to bring in ball-playing footballers who are sleek with the passing and vision.

Roberto fits the bill perfectly as he can play as a central defensive midfielder as well – a role Fernandinho has done amazingly well in the last few years.

It all depends on however, if the Barcelona board are ready to lose one of their leaders to Manchester City.
