Quique Setien has expressed his desire to coach once again at FC Barcelona.
The former Barca head coach was hired last year to replace Ernesto Valverde as their manager.
While it is fair to note that he took over one of the most disjointed Barcelona teams, one can hardly forget that he oversaw the drop of Barcelona from the top of the table to finishing far behind Real Madrid in the league, an unceremonius exit from Copa Del Rey and a hammering by 8 goals to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
However, Setien seems to have little memory of what has happened as expressed his interest in taking over Barcelona again, a club who sacked him without any official notice.
“The experience was extraordinary,” Setien said, via Marca.
“It is true that we did not enjoy what we would have liked and with that illusion I went from the beginning.
“Of course I would return to Barcelona and I would never regret having gone, not at all.”
“I have already overcome the mourning that I had to go through for what happened in Barcelona,” Setien said.
“But this is an accident, one more that you take as part of your job.”
