Setien talks about possible Messi exit

Quique Setien has revealed that Lionel Messi will stay as he is very happy.

However, if the star is not, Setien is confident that he will win over the Barcelona captain.

The legendary icon of the club recently hit out at the club’s board.

Abidal commented on Valverde’s exit saying that it had to be done as the players were not working hard enough to play for the club.

Messi was disgusted at the commented and replied to Abidal saying that the Barcelona board must assume their own responsibilities and duties before speaking ill of others.

Setien has commented that Messi will be a Barcelona legend. He went on to add a few more things as well. 

“I hope we make Messi so happy that he wants to stay,” Setien told Spanish newspaper SPORT .

“I do believe Barca’s play was going away from the original idea,” Setien said. “I want to win all the games and my dream is to leave a good memory.”

Setien is also confident about the lack of striker in the current squad.

“We can play with no pure striker, with [Antoine] Griezmann or we will figure out something,” he said.
