Ryan Mason, Tottenham’s interim manager, has declared that the Premier League club wants to keep Clement Lenglet of Barcelona

To finalise a permanent swap for Lenglet’s current loan agreement, Spurs are in discussions with Barcelona and Lenglet’s representation.

The club has not made a final decision on a new head coach for the 2023–24 season, and it is believed that the French international is waiting for the confirmation of Mason’s permanent replacement.

Despite the club’s off-field problems, the French international has made an impression in North London, making 25 Premier League games in the Spurs defence with Eric Dier and Cristian Romero. Lenglet is a prime contender to depart Camp Nou, and Barcelona is willing to sell him for roughly €12 million in order to earn money for team reinforcements.

Mason was questioned over the most recent developments regarding Lenglet’s future in England despite the fact that Spurs appeared to be losing out on a spot in the European qualifying round.

“In the summer, negotiations to keep Lenglet at Tottenham will take place. The kind of player we need is Lenglet. He’s successful and professional, according to reports from Diario AS.
