Ter Stegen Feels Barcelona Can Win Title If Remaining Games Are Won

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has enough faith in Barcelona to win the La Liga title.

However, that is, only if the Catalan club can win all the remaining games – which is tricky for sure, considering their run so far. They drew 0-0 with Sevilla on Friday, coming in the danger zone with Real Madrid looming to take over.

There are eight games remaining as of now, and ter Stegen wants the squad to win all of them – giving them a chance to win the league title.

“We no longer depend on ourselves and we will be watching what the rivals do, but we are improving,” the goalkeeper said, via Sport.

“Defensively we are showing our best face and I am convinced that by winning all the remaining games we will be champions.”

Since the pandemic break, Barcelona came to a draw for the first time, but haven’t conceded in any game yet. However, ter Stegen feels that it was a good match they played with Sevilla.

“I think we have played a good match, especially in the first half. We knew we were coming to the field of a very complicated team and we have dominated,” he said.

“All in all, I consider that the draw was fair, because Sevilla have also had good chances.”
