Barca to make some signings to push them forward into a Champions League position?

The La Liga table is one that nobody really could’ve predicted this season. Barca have seriously been underperforming, and with their much-publicized financial troubles seemingly easing, could it be time for a few major signings to help them push through.

The idea of Barcelona not gracing Europe’s biggest competition is unthinkable for many. Odds from betway and other online bookmakers show that most think the club will still qualify, but they may need fresh blood.

Barca has already shown some intent with the recently confirmed signing of Man City youngster Ferran Torres. With over €50 million invested in this deal alone, it seems the Spanish giants are back in the market for some big signings

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang

After a rift with manager Mikel Arteta, the former Arsenal captain has been left out of recent matchday squads. We already know that he spends time in Barcelona in his personal life. Aubameyang has a costly wage packet but could be available at a cut-price due to being out of favour at Arsenal.

Edinson Cavani

Cavani is another striker, a position that Barca needs to fill desperately. He’s entering his twilight years as a player but still has plenty to offer and could be available from Manchester United in the summer as they rebuild under interim boss Rangnick.

Andreas Christensen

Andreas Christensen is one of several Chelsea players whose contracts will expire at the end of the season. This means Barcelona is free to approach and negotiate with the player. If an agreement could be reached, they may even try to get him through the door in January by offering a fee to the London club.

Anthony Martial

It is clear that Martial is ready to head for the exit door at Manchester United and could be available cheaply. Since the new regime came in at Old Trafford, he’s barely been involved and has made it clear that he plans to leave the club.
