Vidal Not Letting Go Of La Liga Title Or CL Aspirations

Arturo Vidal is not ready to let the La Liga title or Champions League title go, at any rate.

Barcelona managed to win the game with Real Valladolid but just about – with a score of 1-0. Setien’s side had been expecting much more, not just scrape by with a win.

“We know it depends. We just have to win all the games that we have remaining,” Vidal said in a post-match interview.

“It doesn’t depend on us. We just have to do what we have to do and see what the other teams around us do.”

“We will give it our all, and then wait and see,” Vidal said. “It doesn’t depend on us. If it is not meant to be, then on to the Champions League (in August).”

Vidal admits that the team did have chances to score more, but they didn’t take the opportunity up.

“We had our chances and didn’t take them and we knew they’d have theirs,” Vidal said.

“We have to improve going forward and take our chances. The important thing is we’ve done what we came here to do and we’ve got three points.”

“It’s difficult against a team that were very hard to play and they played very well. Also, the conditions complicated things slightly, but I’m glad we won,” he said.

All in all, Barcelona is still in the title race.
