The signing of Antoine Griezmann in the summer of 2019 was meant to bring balance back to Barcelona.
The Catalan club however, badly misread their judgement on the team balance factor as the left footed winger who likes to cut in and drift wide to dictate play in final third is a little too similar to some magician Barcelona already have in their ranks – Lionel Messi.
This has seen itself develop in a colossal problem as Barcelona have had to restyle their manager, their players and everything around the club.
However, football expert Arsene Wenger has pointed out that the one big problem still remains.
“Not playing at his position is complicated in the long term,” Wenger told beIN Sports.  “At the start, the guy accepts it but, if he does not meet his needs in the long term and he feels that the position does not allow him to express his qualities, he will become discouraged.
“Today, he is a player who must play in the centre because he has a great work rate, a precision in his passes. He can be dangerous with the last pass and by scoring goals, but there is congestion because he is in the range of play of Messi.”
