Lionel Messi will most definitely leave PSG in the summer.
Messi will become a free agent in the summer and several clubs including MLS outfit Inter Miami are interested in signing the 36-year-old World Cup winner.
Xavi has reiterated his desire to bring Messi and speaks about a possible return to the Catalan club.
“Our fans started to mention Leo Messi’s name at every game…I like the feeling. But trust me, the comeback of Leo Messi only depends on him,” Xavi told Catalan outlet TV3.
“I’d say that it depends 99% on Messi. I have no doubts on football point of view – it’s up to Leo.
“He brings talent. He is capable of providing the final pass, taking free kicks, scoring goals. He is a differential player in the final third.
“For that reason, and for how I want to play, for me there is no doubt that he would add a lot. But it depends on him.”
But Barcelona has serious financial troubles to clear before they could sign a player they could not afford back in 2021.
The Financial Fair Play limitations will take place next season and plans to bring Messi back to Camp Nou is nothing short of a miracle.
