Barcelona secured a hard-fought victory over Girona last night.
In-form midfielder Pedri scored the winning goal last night in his 100th appearance for the Blaugrana.
He was introduced as a substitute after Ousmane Dembele suffered an injury in the 26th minute.
The Spaniard has scored six goals already this season but is yet to deliver an assist.
Since his arrival at Camp Nou in 2019, Pedri has established himself as one of the best midfielder in the world in recent years.
The league leaders secured all three points last night but Xavi claims that his side needs to improve in the attack.
“We have to improve, above all by taking more on in attack. Girona changed their style [sitting back] which surprised us, but we dominated the ball and pressed high,” he added.
“We have to create more. We have to be calmer in the final third. I am happy with the three points, but we have to be self-critical and acknowledge there are situations we need to improve.”
