Barcelona could reportedly target Hansi Flick for next season.
Bayern Munich have announced that the German boss will leave after the 2020/21 season, giving way to RB Leipzig’s Julian Nagelsmann.
Flick has done incredibly well since taking over at the Allianz Arena. He saw Bayern through a European treble last term and also tied down their 9th consecutive Bundesliga title in this one.
Flick seems certain to replace Joachim Low as the head coach of Germany but nothing has been confirmed just yet. Barcelona’s original plans of appointing Xavi Hernandez took a hit this week. The former midfielder announced that he is to remain Al Sadd’s manager until 2023.
🗣 Xavi: “I’m proud to continue at Al-Sadd. We achieved a lot together, scored goals, won matches and titles, and we are all very proud of this success. Getting this kind of support is the best thing any coach can get.”#AlSadd #XAVI2023 pic.twitter.com/lFpXrjofGP

Ronald Koeman still has a contract untill June 2022 but he is not exactly popular with the fans. The Dutchman has won Barca a Copa del Rey trophy but nothing more. And now, Barca seem to be out of the running for the league title as well.
