Barcelona’s financial predicament may tempt them to sell Franck Kessie this summer
Prior to the summer, Tottenham Hotspur is still interested in the Ivory Coast international playmaker. Due to their time spent working together in Serie A, Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is aware of Kessie’s potential.
The 26-year-old will be courted with all possible means by the Italian, who wants to bolster his team. Kessie moved to Barcelona as a free agency from AC Milan last summer, but he had trouble fitting into Xavi’s plans.
However, Kessie has recently had the opportunity to appear frequently due to injuries to important midfielders. In the Blaugrana colours, he is beginning to establish himself, but the club may still be enticed to sell him. They could make a good profit by selling him in the summer after they hired him for nothing.
Xavi will make the ultimate decision, but Sergio Busquets’ impending departure might influence him. Kessie will keep working hard to persuade Barcelona. His return to the Italian top division is something that Inter Milan is also interested in. They and Spurs could engage in a buying conflict.
Having played for Milan, Kessie might not be interested in moving to Inter. For the majority of players, the Premier League is still a desirable choice. The Ivorian may decide to leave Camp Nou if Barca signs another midfielder. He desires to play frequently and might not think twice to move if that is guaranteed somewhere else.
