Zidane Insists Madrid Used Barcelona's Weak Spots To Win

Real Madrid head coach believes that his team won over Barcelona by finding weak points in the squad.

While Barcelona are fuming over the unfair VAR, Real Madrid believe they played very well and found ‘holes’ in Barca’s team.

When asked if Real Madrid had played well, Zidane said, “Yes, clearly. We have played the perfect match. It’s three points, nothing more. Now we have to rest and enjoy. Yes, we are going to enjoy this and think about Tuesday because it comes quickly. With the criticism we have had these last few days… We have to be calm and play like we have to play.”

Real Madrid has been criticised post the match for having an unfair advantage over the Catalan club with the VAR not giving Barcelona a penalty during the match.

When it came to defending, we had a compact unit and against a team like Barça. We have found holes and, in the end, it is about that.”

However, Ronald Koeman has outrightly disagreed with Zidane’s view.

“We do not agree, it was not a penalty for me,” Koeman told reporters of Ramos’ penalty after the game, per Goal.
