OFFICIAL: Wolves sign Barcelona full-back Nelson Semedo

Barcelona have confirmed the transfer of Nelson Semedo to Wolves.

Nelson Semedo has signed a three-year deal with Wolves with an option to extend for a further two years.

The Premier League club will pay €30m for the right-back, with an additional €10m in add-ons.

A FC Barcelona statement read: “FC Barcelona and Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Nelson Semedo.”

“The English club will pay €30m plus €10m more in variables.

“FC Barcelona would like to publicly express their gratitude to Nelson Semedo for his commitment and dedication and wishes him all the best for the future.”

The Portuguese defender joined the Catalan giants in 2017 and went on to feature in 102 games for the club, scoring two goals and laying on 11 assists.

“Thank you very much Barcelona for giving me the opportunity to live the dream of wearing this shirt, of playing in Camp Nou, of learning and enjoying the best in the world, Semedo said in an Instagram post.

“Thank you for making me grow as a player and as a person. They were 3 wonderful years that I will never forget. Thank my colleagues, staff, fans and all the people who helped me since I arrived until today. I wish you the best luck in the world. Eternally grateful.”
