Barcelona Transfers History 2023: Possible signings in January and this Summer 2023!
It is pretty obvious that a club like Barcelona are not going to sit back and watch their team lose.
Currently under Xavi Barcelona are still struggling to get to the top of the league in Spain. However, the threat which the Barcelona teams from the past years had is now gone.
They do not even play a lot like Barcelona anymore. Most of these teams do not have the possession game style which teams before Valverde had.
They need also a revamp of the squad as the champions squad made by Pep Guardiola is now getting old. Already the likes of David Villa, Dani Alves and Iniesta have retired from the game. The next batch of stars like Gerard Pique and Sergio Busqets are now getting old.
Hence they will need to keep spending at this moment to replace their players.
Barcelona Transfers History 2024: Will they sign Neymar back ?
When Robert Lewandowski is available for transfer, every transfer target list should begin and end with his name. There is no striker capable of filling the shoes of the Pole, who has scored over 100 league goals in the previous three league seasons.
His contract discussions with Bayern Munich have stalled, and he may be available in the summer transfer window as a result. With one season left on his contract and at the age of 33, one would anticipate his asking price to be in the €50-55 million range.
Lewandowski fits Barcelona’s profile of what they look for in a striker. He’s big, strong and can hold up the ball- much like Drogba and Costa. Yet at the same time he is like a Suarez who can move in the box with stealth and has incredible finishing ability. He can play one-two with his midfielders and pretty much is a complete striker.
According to reports, reaching a deal with Lewandowski should be easy because the player is looking for a change of scenery and his agent, Pini Zahavi, is connected to Barça president Joan Laporta.
Barça are willing to grant Lewandowski a four-year deal until 2026 and the opportunity to oversee Xavi Hernandez’s sporting initiative. Watch & Bet Football Live =>
