Rakitic has publicly stated that he wants to complete his contract, which expires next summer.
If Barcelona do not agree, then they will leave under his terms, in the way he wants.
“I am not a sack of potatoes,” Rakitic told Mundo Deportivo, with the full interview set to be published on Monday.
“I will decide my future. I want to be where I am valued. If it is here, delighted, and if not, it will be where I decide.”
“It didn’t hurt me not to play, but the attitude they had towards me.”
Rakitic informed the leaders that he would not tolerate the bad attitude towards him.
“I am aware of the situation and my status, but I am not a bag of potatoes with which they can do whatever they want. I want them to love me, to respect me. If I don’t get this from Barcelona, I’ll go where I want, not where they will sell me. At the club, I let them know that I would not tolerate such an attitude. “
