Barcelona head Xavi happy for Pedri after 2021 Golden Boy award

Pedri was officially awarded the European Golden Boy award on Monday morning.

Newly-appointed Barcelona coach Xavi is glad for Pedri after he was named the 2021 Golden Boy. The 18-year-old star was officially awarded the European Golden Boy award on Monday morning. The Spanish midfielder has suffered another setback on his road to recovery from injury.

The youngster shared a video on social media where he reacted by saying, I’m thrilled. Thanks a lot.”

Xavi hails Spanish midfielder for winning the Golden Boy award, “I’m happy he has won the Golden Boy award because his performances have been extraordinary.

“It’s not an easy injury, he’s a key player and makes a difference for us, but I don’t have a date for his return, we want him to come back as soon as possible and do it one hundred percent.”
