The Spanish club wanted to sign the Reds star in 2020 when he was playing for Almeria. Barca could be again thwarted in their wishes to land the Uruguay international due to financial constraints.
If Lewandowski leaves the club then it would be tough for Barcelona to find a player like him. The Polish striker remained the leading goal-scorer for his first two seasons.
