Barcelona is adding young players with a lot of potential to their youth squads as they continue to explore for ways to improve their first-team lineup
This summer, Mikayil Faye already come to bolster the Barça Athletic team, joining a number of other talented players including Trilli, Diego Percan, and Eman Kospo.
Fabrizio Romano now reports that Barcelona will sign Noah Darvich from SC Freiburg in Germany as yet another young talent.
The 16-year-old Darvich has been causing a stir in the German youth football scene. The versatile offensive midfielder joined the SC Freiburg junior system in 2017, and since then, he has advanced quickly through the levels.
In 23 games for the German club’s Under-17 team, Darvich has made a strong impression, scoring nine goals and assisting five more. Due to his performances for the team, the young player even made it into the club’s Under-19 setup, playing three times last season after Barcelona became interested in him. Barcelona moved quickly to capture Darvich’s services because his contract with SC Freiburg was slated to expire the following year.
Romano asserts that the transaction has already been completed and has authorised the transfer with his signature “Here We Go!” Darvich, one of Germany’s most promising young players, will try to make an impression in Barcelona’s development system and follow in the footsteps of previous La Masia stars like Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati, and Gavi, among others. Darvich has scored five goals in 16 games for Germany’s Under-17 team.
