Xavi reversed his decision to stand down as Barcelona head coach

Xavi has changed his mind and agreed to remain as Barcelona’s manager.

There is a fresh development for Barcelona in search of a new manager as they have assured Xavi will stay beyond the season. Xavi has reportedly reversed his decision to stand down as Barcelona head coach.

The ex-Barca player agreed to remain at Camp Nou until at least the end of his contract in June 2025. The 44-year-old announced that he will leave the club at the end of this season after a defeat to Villarreal in January.

Catalan giants made into the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League but lost to PSG despite winning te first leg. They also lost to Real Madrid in the previous El Clasico game.

Barcelona will not win any trophy this season. Meanwhile, Xavi led them to La Liga last season. Barcelona president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco have been working to convince Xavi to reverse his decision.

Barcelona’s vice-president Rafa Yuste said at the end of last month that Xavi was wanted as part of “a long-term project” at Camp Nou. As per the reports of Fabrizio Romano, Xavi has changed his mind and agreed to remain as Barcelona manager.

The Catalan outfit could allegedly make an announcement that Xavi will stay in charge beyond the end of the season.
