Barcelona are open to selling defender Andreas Christensen.

The Catalan giants need to raise funds in the January transfer market and has identified Andreas Christensen as the first candidate to make a move.

The former Chelsea defender has fallen down the pecking order at Barcelona and Barcelona are keen to recoup a healthy transfer fee as the Dane arrived on a free transfer.

Barcelona are keen to bring new signing Chadi Riad from Real Sociedad and integrate him into the first-team squad.

Premier League giants Newcastle United are thought to be keen on bringing the 27-year-old defender back to England this January.

The Magpies are keen to add some defensive personnel as they lack depth in the centre-back position.

Christensen would be an ideal signing for Eddie Howe but a January move might be hard for Newcastle due to FFP restrictions.

The 27-year-old defender reiterated his desire to Camp Nou despite growing interest from European clubs.

Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the former Chelsea defender.

Christensen has still managed to garner 20 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona this campaign with an assist in the process.
