Frenkie de Jong tipped to move out from Barcelona in summer

Frenkie de Jong could be sacrificed by Barcelona to raise the funds for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong may move out from Barcelona at the end of the season. There is a possibility that the Dutchman can finally depart from Camp Nou.

This fresh report came through a good friend of both De Jong’s entourage, and former Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman. Lluís Canut talked about the future of Frenkie de Jong.

While talking with Catalaunya Ràdio, Canut was asked for the latest word on the plans of de Jong beyond the summer.

De Jong has seen his name cast back into the spotlight in La Liga over recent days. The former Ajax man could be sacrificed by the Catalan giants to raise the funds for the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Dutchman has been linked with a potential move from Barcelona many times in the past two years. He wanted to stay at Barcelona and refused all offers.

Owing potentially to the imminent departure of boss Xavi, or the incessant chatter regarding his future, De Jong is understood to have opened to the prospect of a new challenge: “Something has changed in Frenkie de Jong. Frenkie is no longer closing the door on leaving the club.”
