Gavi’s suspension threatens Barcelona’s upcoming matches

Barcelona’s star midfielder, Gavi Hernandez, is on the verge of a suspension as important games for Barcelona loom on the horizon. The 19-year-old has been one of the best players this season, especially in his preferred midfield area.

Barcelona’s midfield depth is being stretched as the club prepares for a crucial run of matches, including a Champions League double-header against Shakhtar Donetsk and the highly awaited clash with arch-rivals Real Madrid on October 28th. Frenkie de Jong’s projected absence and Pedri’s return from injury show the importance of Gavi’s potential role in the team.

Also, Gavi is in danger of a suspension after collecting three yellow cards in La Liga. If he is shown a yellow card in the next two games against Granada and Athletic Club, he will be forced to miss the El-Classico against Real Madrid. This would be a major setback for Barcelona, putting even more pressure on their already limited options.

However, Gavi will miss the match against Shakhtar in Montjuic due to a red card ban resulting from his ejection against Porto. As a result, the young midfielder must tread cautiously in the following domestic matches to ensure his availability for the highly awaited El Clasico against Real Madrid, where his presence might be key in determining Barcelona’s destiny.
