Barcelona has reportedly been offered the chance to sign Raphael Varane for €20m.
The former Real Madrid defender is unhappy with his role at Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag is eyeing some defensive changes this January.
The Frenchman will be out of contract in the summer and Man United has decided not to trigger the 12-month extension clause.
Varane has fallen down the pecking order behind Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans and has struggled for minutes under Erik Ten Hag this season.
He has been overlooked by the Dutch manager and there have been reports of a rift between the manager and the player.
Such reports have led to widespread speculation over his future as the defender is free to talk to other clubs over a pre-contract agreement in January.
Some clubs in Saudi Arabia are interested in the defender while Bayern Munich has also shown an interest in the World Cup winner.
Varane’s future with Manchester United remains uncertain and the club reportedly demands €20 million for the experienced defender.
Barcelona have reportedly been approached and have been given the chance to sign the Real Madrid legend for €20 million.
It is highly questionable whether the Real Madrid legend would entertain the idea of joining arch-rivals Barcelona.
