Getafe have triggered the permanent option in the loan deal for Barcelona defender Marc Cucurella.
Getafe have exercised their option to purchase Cucurella from Barcelona for €6m.
The youngster has excelled on loan under Jose Bordalas during this season and the Madrid-based club were eager to tie him down long term at the fee that was agreed with the Blaugrana last summer.
There is no buy-back option for Barca in the arrangement. What Barcelona do maintain is a 40 percent sell on clause should Getafe sell Cucurella in the future.
Cucurella has gathered plenty of admirers in the Premier League, where Chelsea are keen, meaning that Getafe would not struggle to sell him at a profit in the summer, though the option of him remaining at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez is not ruled out either.
