Barca defender Ronald Araujo to not leave the club in summer

Ronald Araujo has interest from Bayern Munich and Man United.

Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo has cleared his stance that he has no intention of leaving the club this summer. The 25-year-old is one of the finest player for Xavi and he is crucial for future perspective.

Araujo has featured in 31 competitive matches for the Catalan giants this season. Despite being regular under Xavi, reports are claiming that he may leave the club at the end of this season.

Barcelona’s financial issues may hurt the club to keep their players at the end of the season. They have to offload a couple of years to get some funds for next season.

A recent report added the Catalan giants were willing to entertain offers for Araujo amid interest from Bayern Munich and Man United.

The Red Devils are looking at a new centre-back, with Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans are planning to leave at the end of the season.

Araujo spoke to Uruguayan outlet La Quinta Tribuna, “There’s been a lot of talk about this issue, but I’m happy in Barcelona.”

“In addition, we have to finish the season well because there are still challenges, also with Uruguay with the Copa America.”

The 25-year-old will see his current contract expiring in two years but Barcelona appear to be willing to open negotiations over an extension.
