Following the departures of Ansu Fati and Ez Abde, Barcelona is a little lacking in offensive firepower up front, with Robert Lewandowski serving as their current natural number nine
The Blaugrana are keeping track of events regarding Benjamin Sesko, according to Francesc Aguilar. The 20-year-old Slovenian striker, who plays for RB Leipzig, scored twice in 25 minutes last weekend against Union Berlin to open his account for the new campaign.
Sesko, according to Aguilar, has been on their radar ever since he was a member of FC Liefering, an RB Salzburg affiliate.
Sesko made the €23 million move to Leipzig this summer and has already had a significant impact.
Sesko has impressed since making his senior football debut. In 41 games for Salzburg last season, he scored 18 goals. Despite his youth, he has accumulated 53 goals and 17 assists in 126 appearances of senior football.
Although Barcelona may be interested in him, it is unlikely that they will make a significant investment in a forward for some time given that they have already bought Vitor Roque from Athletico Paranaense.
