Man City defender is a key asset for Barcelona and he was impressive in Barcelona’s win over Porto in the Champions League. The 29-year-old helped them qualify for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League.

Cancelo is on a loan deal with no buy option. Xavi wants to extend his loan deal or negotiate a price with Manchester City. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants have already made the decision to sign him on a permanent transfer in the summer of 2024.
Barcelona lacks a quality option at right-back and Cancelo is performing to Xavi’s satisfaction. Xavi and Deco agree that Barca should try to sign Cancelo permanently, who has a contract with Manchester City until 2027.
