Barcelona president Joan Laporta show full confidence in Xavi

Xavi’s position has been on the radar in the ongoing season.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has full faith in club manager, Xavi despite some mixed results in La Liga and Champions League. He is showing full confidence and they want to carry with the former Barca player.

The 43-year-old  became Barcelona’s manager in November 2021. He enjoyed success in his first full season with the title win of La Liga. Xavi also won the Spanish Super Cup.

Xavi’s position has been on the radar in the ongoing season. Barcelona are struggling to retain consistency in La Liga and they slipped to fourth in the table.

Barcelona lost to Real Madrid in El Clasico last month and they were beaten by Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League respectively. Catalan giants recently played out a 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano.

Barcelona president spoke to the media on Monday, “We had talks with the coach and his technical staff. We have full confidence.”

“I have always said that he is our coach and that we are with him. We have full confidence. We are confident that tomorrow’s game will go well.

“I see him very motivated. We have been talking before and after Vallecas. We are aware of the situation we are in it for the long haul.”

The 61-year-old also added: “Now he has all the players who were carrying long-term injuries and that allows him to have more solutions. He has managed to overcome things during this time that he had so many injuries and it was not easy.”
