Lamine Yamal signed a new contract at Camp Nou last year.

Barcelona are not in the mood to lose Lamine Yamal in the summer. They have reportedly turned down a €200m offer from Paris Saint-Germain. PSG will soon make a fresh offer for the teenager.

The Ligue 1 giants are preparing to lose Kylian Mbappe this summer to Real Madrid. He will be a free agent in the summer.

As per the reports of Marca, Paris Saint-Germain have identified Yamal as Mbappe’s replacement. The French champions are determined to sign the 16-year-old during this summer’s transfer window.

The report adds that PSG placed a €200m (£170m) offer on the table, but Barcelona rejected this. He signed a new contract at Camp Nou last year and his contract will expire in the summer of 2026. There is a release clause of €1bn in the agreement.

He became Barcelona’s youngest starter in La Liga at the age of 16 years and 38 days in August 2023. He also became Spain’s youngest player and goalscorer.

Yamal has made 37 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals and registering seven assists. The teenager is currently with the Barcelona squad preparing for Tuesday’s Champions League last-16 second leg against Napoli.
