Kvaratskhelia will see his contract expire in the summer of 2027.
Barcelona are looking to sign Napoli forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. There is a first development in this transfer race. The agent of the Napoli winger has opened the door to a potential departure from the club this summer.
Kvaratskhelia was instrumental in the title success of Serie A last season for the Naples side. He is the current Serie A MVP holder. He scored 28 goals last season across all competitions. He also helped to reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
Player’s agent Mamuka Jugeli has hinted that he may leave in the summer. While talking to the Georgian version of Gazzetta dello Sport, Jugeli said: “As regards the future, we are talking with the club, we will see what will happen. He will leave if another club presents an offer that the management will not be able to refuse.”
He also added, “I can’t talk about a specific amount, these are [Aurelio] De Laurentiis’s assessments. I protect Khvicha’s contract and work. Everything will be clear at the end of May.”
Kvaratskhelia’s contract will expire in the summer of 2027. The player himself said that he is happy at Napoli. He admitted that “I am here” during his celebration after scoring against Juventus on Sunday.
