Dani Alves is back at Camp Nou to rebuild his former club

Dani Alves returns to Barcelona after five-long years.

The 38-year old Brazilian defender will begin his training with new manager and former teammate Xavi almost immediately but will have to wait till January window to make his second Barcelona debut.

The veteran was a free agent after getting his contract terminated in September with Sao Paulo.

“Almost five years of fighting like a madman to get to this moment,” he wrote. “I didn’t think it would take that long, I didn’t know it would be so difficult, but I knew inside my heart and inside my soul that the day would come.

“I’m coming home, from where I’ll never leave. And as I said before leaving, I’m just one more of you. I don’t know how long that dream will last, but may it be eternal while it lasts!
