Jean Clair-Todibo hasn’t ruled out a return to Barcelona.
The French defender has developed into one of the best defenders in Ligue 1 and has been a key performer for Nice for the past two seasons.
The Frenchman left Barcelona on a permanent deal in 2021 to join Nice and has developed into one of the best young centre-backs in the world.
The 24-year-old has drawn the attention of several English clubs especially Manchester United who are keen to strike a deal with Todibo in the summer.
The Frenchman has recently spoken about his future and revealed he’s open to returning to his former club as opposed to joining the Premier League.
The Blaugrana definitely needs some defensive reinforcements and it will be interesting to see if Barcelona is open to making a move for Jean Clair-Todibo.
“Why not?” Todibo said when asked about a return to Barcelona. “I don’t regret it, not at all.
“Barcelona is still a great experience. I learned a lot from Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti, Clement Lenglet… It did me good. I discovered the very, very high level.
“I didn’t have the desired minutes because there were very, very big players in front of me. I also had a coach, Ernesto Valverde, who was under pressure, so it was normal for him to play Gerard Pique instead of an inexperienced 19-year-old.”
