Ronald Koeman has talked about Trincao and potential target Eric Garcia.
“He’s come all the way from Braga, he’s young,” he stated.
“Taking a step to a club like Barcelona is a giant step. You don’t have to go too fast.
“He is working very well, trying to earn minutes. He’s not playing much, there’s a lot of competition. We count on him a lot for the future of this club.”
Koeman also spoke about getting City defender Garcia back to Spain to the Nou Camp this winter transfer window.
“I have always said that I am not the one who has to [consider] the economic decisions of a transfer,” Koeman explained.
“If the club thinks that it is not possible, it is not possible and we go ahead with what we have.”
Koeman’s plan of getting Garcia could go a long way according to presidential elect Font who is confident of bringing in the player.
Font still held out hope that the club could bring Garcia in this January. “The managing board wants to close the signing so that at the end of the season he comes,” he said. “If the operation is done, I have asked that there be a last attempt in case with a little money we can satisfy the coach’s needs.”
