Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo has moved to Benfica on a two-year loan deal.

The French defender is off to Benfica on loan for the next two seasons.

Todibo came through the ranks at Toulouse before breaking into the first-team in 2018 before joining Camp Nou in 2019 on a free transfer.

He played only four times for the Catalan giants before being shipped off to Schalke on loan for the remainder of the 2019/20 season.

The 20-year old was capped nine times for France Under 20s since making his international youth debut at that level in 2018.

“FC Barcelona and Benfica have reached an agreement for the loan of Jean-Clair Todibo for the next two seasons. The Portuguese club will take responsibility for the player’s contract and pay FC Barcelona 2 million euros with the option of purchasing the player for 20 million euros,” said an official statement from the Barcelona website.
