Chelsea’s old campaigner Pedro has told the media that he is very much open to the possibility of a return to Nou Camp.

The former Barcelona star is a La Masia product. He grew up through the ranks and became a winger at the club under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola.

Along with the likes of Sergio Busqets, Xavi, Lionel Messi, Iniesta, Gerard Pique, Carles Puyol, Pedro formed that special group of students from La Masia who went on to achieve great things for the club.

However, for all his talent Pedro was always a bit part player for the club. When he fell further down the ranks after the arrival of Neymar, Pedro moved to South West London to play for Chelsea. Four seasons later, he has expressed his wish to go back.

“If they call me, I’d leave it all,” Pedro told L’Esportiu.

“There was a moment this pre-season, when we played against Barcelona, that, after speaking to (Ernesto Valverde), I saw a chance (of returning).

“But the door closed quickly. At this moment, I don’t know what is going to happen to me, only that I finish my contract at Chelsea at the end of the season.”
