Paris Saint-Germain is making a final call on their pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. They were heavily linked with the Dutchman who is supposed to leave the club.

According to Diario Sport, there is the latest development in the race to get the signature of de Jong. Blaugrana midfielder was also linked with Manchester United but the deal didn’t happen.

The French giants have been forced to call time on their efforts to land de Jong. PSG are aware that a conscious push to align the club’s accounts with FFP rules will be required this summer.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is also on the radar of PSG and they consider him the best player to pick during the summer transfer window. He has a hefty €120 million price-tag and PSG can push for this deal.

Barcelona are planning to sell de Jong in the summer. He has made 19 La Liga appearances and scored two goals. He also appeared in 5 Champions Legue matches.
