Former Barca legend, Rivaldo , is unhappy the way the board is handling the team which revolves around Messi.
The Blaugrana seems to rely heavily on players such as Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Gerard Pique and Rivaldo thinks that seasoned professionals who has been there for the team should be considered at Camp Nou.
He also mentions budding youngsters such as Ansu Fati and Riqui Pig who can develop and can make a difference to the team.
“These guys are important to the team, and have a bright future, but I don’t think they are the ones to make the difference,” Rivaldo told Betfair.
“The responsibility should lie with the veterans, those with more experience and they are the players who must give more.
“I read in the press that they have many players over 30, but I don’t believe that’s a problem.”
Rivaldo added: “It’s obvious that Barcelona have to improve their football, and that’s up to the coach, Setien has to find a formula to do something new.
“He needs to find a way to take advantage of the quality of the players he has at his disposal.
“Of course, recent matches make everyone doubt the progress because we’re used to seeing a different kind of Barcelona.”
