Barcelona have developed a keen interest in Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu.
Barcelona’s interest in the defender is not a new subject – Quique Setien’s side was interested in him back in 2016 when he played with his former Turkish club Altinordu. However, now, the possibility of Soyuncu moving to the Catalan club this year is rather high, according to his agent.
“It is possible Caglar can go to play for Barcelona this summer,” his agent Dogru told Spanish outlet AS. “Barca already wanted to sign him when he played for Altinordu.
But Barcelona is not the only one after the 24-year-old defender. Premier League recent winners Liverpool might potentially be on the look out for him, as well as French side Paris Saint-Germain.
“We have negotiated with them and they have presented a project. But we think that he should go to a team where he is a permanent starter, for it to develop properly. For this reason we decided to accept the Freiburg proposal.”
“I think only Liverpool have the power to sign Caglar in the Premier League because of their economic conditions, but we must not forget French teams. PSG could be a surprise.”
